Testing for ADHD

Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

A neuropsychological evaluation can be beneficial to individuals concerned if they have a diagnosis of Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as individuals with a known diagnosis. While ADHD is typically diagnosed in childhood, a subset of individuals with ADHD are not diagnosed until adulthood for a variety of reasons (e.g., they performed well academically despite difficulties, their symptoms “flew under the radar”).

An evaluation can help clarify a diagnosis, as well as a characterize one’s individual cognitive, behavioral, and mental health profile. Symptoms impact individuals in different ways across the life span; an updated evaluation for individuals previously diagnosed can help with treatment planning and symptom management.
